03' GCL, tranny leakjonzi216 06-17-2007, 01:24 PM For a week now I noticed a tranny leak(few drops) under the front end of the jeep..after laying under the jeep I see a hose with a metal cupling at one end, seems like an easy fix (replace), does anyone have fotos or istructions on how to replace this hose??? JeepForever 06-25-2007, 11:48 AM Is it a rubber hose or a metal (screw-on) tube? There are tubes going to the radiator to cool the trans fluid. These can be tightened. If it's a rubber hose you might want to try a new ring-clamp. Or you can measure the length of hose and go to a place like AutoZone and get a new piece of hose (although I'm not familiar with the type of hose you're referring to - they might know in the store). If you can see both ends of the hose you'll know how much you need and what it takes to replace it. On a '93 if you only have a few drops you might try some trans fluid "leak-stop". That worked for my '04 and brought it down from a small puddle to a few drops after about 300 miles. hulkmn069 06-25-2007, 07:11 PM On a '93 if you only have a few drops you might try some trans fluid "leak-stop".
