Crazy Gas Gaugesreilly77 06-17-2007, 09:41 AM one of my 98 grand cherokees has a crazy gas gauge. whether i am moving or at a stand still, the gauge will drop to empty, the light will come on, and then eventually the gauge will rise back to the correct reading of gas that is in the tank. i thought it was a bad ground wire but all the wires i checked were in tact. i am assuming that the float is going bad. help me out here. thanks. adgjqetuo 07-03-2007, 08:08 AM The tank level sensor is probally going bad...
