hub assembly worn?

is it possible for my 97 4x4 front wheel bearing/hub assembly to be worn and bad without the tell-tale signs of groaning, moaning, or grinding?

My steering has been wandering quite a bit. I'm down to only a few more ideas, the hub assem, rag joint, the pitman arm, or the gearbox --- everything else is new/replaced !

new idler arm
squared the center link / idler arm in relation to the chassis
new control arm bushings
dbl checked chassis ride height / torsion bar setting
calipers / sheild not binding
tire pressure good
ball joints new
tie rod end is solid
there is no play in wheels at 12/6 oclock or 9/3 oclock

any ideas ?

Best to jack it up and check and look everything over for anything being lose.
Also inspect tires for a slipped belt bent wheel or bad spot.
The wheel bearings should not have any movement to them.
If all is good and tight have the front end alignment checked.
