How long did the antifreeze sit in the oil pan? Sounds like the main bearings are going bad. Most likely do the the intake failure. Do like ru1313 said and check the pressure with a mechanical gauge and verify the pressure when hot. How low does the gauge read when hot? Replacing your t-stat to a 160deg and changing to a heaver weight oil may help keep your oil pressure up a little higher. It's not a fix but it may buy you some more time out of it. gunky 07-19-2007, 08:42 PM ok great i been foolin around with it now gave up must be main bearing is it worth rebuilding or do i look for a used engine looking possibly for a engine in northern michigan at right price tx for all ur help vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
