i have a 96 windstar and have had simmilar problems in the past were the van would just quit while driving and start back up in 1 minute or 3 hours it was pretty random. we replaced the fuel pump and all went well for about 3 months but the other day it stoped and will turn over but imediatly stalls. it has fuel pressure and the battery is good! any advice would help!!:banghead:

it might be the idle control motor--it lets the van idle smoothly.i replaced mine on my '96 windstar-it was like $50 at autozone.very easy to replace,takes about 2 minutes.

I had this problem on a 2000 3.8 Windstar. It was a bad idle solenoid. Very easy to change
