AC Problems

This may be 2 problems in one, but here goes.
Air conditioning blows warm / hot air (since it is hot outside) when turned on. When we tied to put refrig. in it said full on the gauges.
also my manual control HVAC only blows air on 5.
I'm thinking a resistor problem but not sure. the vehicle is a 2000 GP SE 3.8L
The Blower is blowing, but warm air.
There seem to be no issue with Headlights or defroster
Thanks for help in advance

You need a blower resistor for the fan speed issue, and you need to see if the compressor is kicking on. If not, then it could be the A/C pressure sensor. If the PCM doesn't recieve a pressure signal from the switch, it will not engage the compressor. If the compressor kicks on, then you may have a blockage in the sysem. You need to compare high side and low side readings acceptable for the outside temperature for proper diagnostics.

well we got the resistor in and that did fix the switch 1-5 problem, we also confirmed that the compressor is no longer kicking on which ties in with the other part you mentioned. i've looked online and the only pressure switch I can find is a High Pressure switch, would that be the same thing ?
I greatly appreciate your help!!!!
I think I found the part, A/c Compressor Cut off Switch, only problem is the location of where it is take off the old one. Sorry I'm not very mechanical
