I have had good results with the original Lucas Oil Supplement in vehicles whose engines are loosening up, making noise, smoking and losing oil pressure, say, at 250,000 miles. Adding a quart of Lucas at each oil change (3-month intervals) adds up to 100,000 miles of smooth, more youthful performance. If you can push an engine rebuild or replacement three or four years down the road, it's certainly worth $100-$150 in additives spread over that time.

I tried their transmission formula in a 700R4 but only made it another couple thousand miles. A bearing had fragged, and no liquid is going to protect against that kind of internal shrapnel. Might be good in less drastic situations. Caution; this stuff is thick! Get a funnel or be prepared to stand next to the truck, bent over to hold the botle for about a half hour!

Don't think I've used a specific leak sealer from Lucas, so can't comment on their effectiveness.
