98' Nissan frontierredmansioner 06-09-2007, 01:33 AM Hi guys! I'm about to own a second hand 98' Nissan Frontier and I just can't wait to drive it already. Unfortunately, it is has an automatic transmission. Does anyone here knows how much it would cost me if I am going to convert it into a manual Nissan Transmission? Also, the brake rotors of the Frontier is in bad condition due to corrosion and stuff, I was wondering if I should replace it with a new nissan brake rotors (http://www.shopnisparts.com/nissan-brake-rotor/) or should I let it be? Is it that really important? Avoitus 09-01-2007, 03:33 PM I have a 98' Frontier as well. Mine is an automatic and I have no idea how much it would cost to change, but, I have an answer to your brake question. I was looking for new brakes for my truck as well and I found out that Brembo makes direct replacement parts for 98' Frontiers. Check them out here: Brembo Disc Brake Replacement (http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/products/products.php?year=1998&make_text=nissan&model_text=frontier&category=brake&subcategory=brake_disc&part_name=&sort=0&uni=1&limit=0&price_range=&uni=1&brand_name=brembo) Brembo Drum Brake Replacement (http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/products/products.php?year=1998&make_text=nissan&model_text=frontier&category=brake&subcategory=brake_drum&part_name=&sort=0&uni=1&limit=0&price_range=&uni=1&brand_name=brembo) If you want to use original parts, then do so. I don't think it would hurt if you used aftermarket brake parts especially from Brembo. Hope this helps. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
