question regarding cheap y-pipes that you buy from ebay. where the y-pipe conects to the throttle body, there is a rubber seal inside of the stock y-pipe to keep from leaking air. do you need this for the new y-pipe? mine is all crackin and stuff and i need a new one, but i figured i would just replace the y-pipe.

the basic question is do i need this rubber seal for the new y-pipe?

and how much are the rubber seals if you order them from mitsubishi?

you can't order the rubber seal from mitsu without ordering a new y-pipe. If you use an aftermarket one, you won't need the rubber seal because you'll use a silicon coupler instead.
