Can't find where this wire goes

Ok I just rebuilt my 1999 3.1L Monte Carlo Engine. I can't find where this one wire connection goes. It has an orange/tan ring on it, and it says PED 15. I know its in the general area of the alternator or a few inches around it, but I can't figure out where it goes still. I would appreciate it very much if one of you could check your wire harness and see where it goes. It's right near the alternator, and it splits off from the rest of the harness on its own.

I just went out and looked and I dont even see an orange/tan wire.

How far back from the alternator does it split from the harness?

Just the ring on the clip of the wire is orange/tan. It splits right next to the alternator from the main wire harness and it's either the first or second wire that splits from it, but it's the only one that goes off on it's own.

if the rubber gromet is orange and there is only one red wire it goes to the voltage reg. on the alt. if the top plastic is orange and there is a black and a pink wire it goes to the ign. cont. mod. ont the pass. side between it and alt.
