I've got a 80 bonneville with 107K 301 turbo. it runs great except for when you try and give it anything past 1/4 throttle, when it shifts from 2nd into drive it bucks and surges violently. its a non computer car, I think, (it doesn't have a check engine light) I replaced the fuel filter on the smoggerjet carb.
I also replaced the kinked fuel line from pump to carb, which I thought would have solved the problem. but it still surges. now I'm thinking it could be in the tranny. I can tell it has a shift kit in it, could somebody have messed something up installing it? I'm hoping it would be something simple like a bad ground somewhere, but I don't know where to look. anybody have any ideas?

Geez Thanks For All The Help Guys, Next Time I Need Any Help It Sure As Hell Won't Be Here! For The 20 Morons That Read This And Didn't Have An Answer, It Turned Out To Be A Loose Grounding Strap On The Coil. Now It Barks Em On The 1-2 Shift.i Finally Figured It Out On My Own.thanks For Nothing, I'm Outta Here.
