Got in the car on Monday, battery dead... :(
Got a jumpstart, got to gas station, filled up, battery dead... :(
Tried to get a second jump, 11.9 volts on meter, engine acts as though it's only got 6 volts
Removed battery today (payday) and replaced it (parts shop said it was probably shot now, and I agree)
Car starts, I pull it forward to top off the tank, car won't turn over again... now it single clicks and all power goes away.
Volts on battery still read 12.3 volts not running...
What just broke? Im still troubleshooting, this is my first caddy, and I only got it a couple of weeks ago from my Aunt (she bought a 2007 :D)

Got told by someone on a different forum to disconnect the battery and let it set for about 15 min to reset the computer again. Then try to start the car. If that doesn't work, he's got a friend that works in a tech support for a autoparts supplier... in otherwords a mechanic that can troubleshoot over the phone... :).
I'll try to update once I figure out what when wrong.

Was the new battery ever fully charged? Are the connections clean and tight?

The disconnection and wait for reset worked. the caddy is working. His explaination was in that the computer was still "thinking" like it was before the battery died last thursday/friday. The implication is that the computer thought it was being stolen using a bypass. By allowing it to reset, it released the security cut outs.
I don't know how accurate that is, nor does it really make sense, but it worked all the same.
