Is a high mileage Grand Am a good choice?

I am looking into purchasing a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am SE1 V6. The current price is $5600. It has 101k miles on it. Is the high mileage a bad thing. It looks in pretty good condition.

Check it out: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=216493787&dealer_id=59419427&car_year=2002&model=GRNDAM&num_records=25&make2=&start_year=1981&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&search_type=used&distance=10&make=PONT&color=&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=77840&advanced=&end_year=2008&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=0

On another note, does anyone know a good place to get a loan for this car?

Thanks,

That price seems too high for the mileage. My girlfriend just bought an L4 2.4L 2000 Grand Am w/ 70,000 miles for $5,000. We also saw a V6 SE 2003 with 70,000 for 5,800.

I think for 100,000 miles, the price should be a bit lower.

As for having 100,000 miles... I don't know, it depends on how well the car was taken care of in the past. Try to find out with things like Carfax or whatever.

P.S.: Nice choice of car, I like the interior on Grand Am's.
