Back up lights out... weirdturtlecrxsi 06-06-2007, 08:06 AM Okay... my reverse/back up lights don't work for some reason. The bulbs are good and all the fuses are in good shape. The rear tail lights and brake lights work fine as they should. A Dodge tech mentioned the Reverse switch in the tranny. I looked at it and the wrap was off the wires but they were still in good shape. Can the actual reverse light switch go bad? It looks like a bitch to try and splice in a new one (not much slack in the wires). Anyway, I'm not going to worry about... just be really careful when backing up in public places... bringselpup 06-09-2007, 10:37 AM If you've got a 98 this may not be exactly what you're looking for but hopefully will give you an idea of what you're looking for. http://www.cherokee-jeep.com/1-2swremov.htm The NSS for a 93 like mine is a pricey part but prices for later years appear to be cheaper. It's not bad to do, I did mine in under an hour I think, no splicing needed there's a connecter further up in the engine compartment. ratchetgmc 06-10-2007, 05:22 AM I have a 98 and mine just did the same thing, after reading the board replaced switch in the tranny. Not adjustable on this year. Cost me around 30 dollars at my local dealer and about one hour to replace. Hardest part was getting the connector off. Have new one ready to go in because transmission fluid will rush out when you remove. turtlecrxsi 06-11-2007, 09:09 AM Thanks. I'll have that Dodge Tech look into it whenever I feel like throwing money at it. He's family so I get a discount... woohoo... Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
