Not so Grand afterall!!pissedoffjeepowner 06-05-2007, 11:48 PM :banghead: My 94' Jeep Grand Limited keeps stalling! It will start up fine but I begin to lose RPM's aas I am driving or the RPM's drop from 1.5 to 0 and my car cuts off! I don't know if it is the fuel injection, gas filter or what but it is driving me crazy!!!! Can anyone help me out to what is wrong with the damned thing?PLEASE. SteveB05 06-06-2007, 06:46 AM Once it dies, does it start right back up? If not, does it crank and not fire, or no cranking either? I'm assuming the I6? pissedoffjeepowner 06-06-2007, 07:49 AM :banghead: No! The jeep stalls and does not start up right away and I have to let it sit for 5 or so minutes. It tries to turn over but nothing! I already replaced the starter, ignition switch, oil filter.....and it is not overheating! I tried STP gas treatment and for 1 day the jeep ran smoothly! SteveB05 06-06-2007, 03:39 PM Pull the wire off of a spark plug, put an old plug in it and lay it on something metal and see if you get a spark when you crank it. Grand94AMGT 06-06-2007, 10:08 PM When it doesnt start do you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key? It will run for 1-2 seconds then shutoff. listen for it if its not coming on it could very well be the fuel pump. Or get a pressure gauge and check the fuel pressure. Bernando1 06-07-2007, 06:41 PM i think it is your fuel pump. have someone test the pressure. i have the same year, it went out about a year and a half ago. I first noticed it as I went up a hill. If you have it replaced, make sure to replace the fuel filter as well. (turn your key back and forth five times and count the number of flashes the check engine light gives you, this will help you identify the computer code and perhaps determine the problem). Ron68 06-09-2007, 12:02 PM Fuel filter. Jazagod 07-06-2007, 11:16 AM This may sound way off base, but here it is.. My old Acura did the exact same thing in every way you said. It turned out to be a bad ground. To find out I took some cables and from the negative battery terminal and onto the block. cranked every time and didnt stall. who would think?? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
