My 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo has a problem. When I start my car, it sounds like its gonna start, but doesn't. I then crank and give it gas 1 or 2 more times and then it starts. This always happens when it's a cold start and a lot of times when warm. The only time it starts the first time is if it's off less than 5 minutes. Any ideas what is going on? Thanks everyone.

Another problem...

When I fill up on gas, my vehicle seems to leak quite a bit of gas out from underneath the car when I get home. It leaks all over the ground. Is this normal? I heard my vehicle has an overfill mechanism or something. Any ideas?

It is typical for the check valve in the fuel pump to fail, allowing the fuel pressure to bleed off. Try this...turn the key on for 2 seconds, then off, then on again for 2 seconds, then off then try to start it.
