Does anyone know the likley cause of a P0174-system too lean bank 2 code to come in on an 01 max SE? O2 or MAF sensor related maybe? Thanks.

Could be bad/clogged injector; Check connectors for corrosion. Give it some injector cleaner 'juice' and/or drive few miles over 5000rpm...

Just a guess, but "lean" means fuel not sufficiently distributed...
When injectors work mechanicanically ok, they give out a clic. This can be listened: srewdriver on the injector(connector), ear on handle. Compare, all should be the same. Also one can disconnect one by one to troubleshoot: the one that doesnt cause any change in noise (idling) is the bad one. Note that those connectors 'locks' may become easily broken (old plastic is brittle) while disconnectin. Then the wires should be propped in such a way that they have no way to come out. After much trial and tribulation this code seems to have been set by a faulty MAF sensor on the air intake. Put in a brand new one from the Nissan dealer and CEL has been off for a week now and the car seems to run better and have more pep. This car has 82K miles on it.
