VN commodore washed engine no won't startaries75au 06-03-2007, 09:27 AM I washed my VN's engine today with a high pressure water spray now it won't start I did also wash the coil pack cause it was caked in crap. I managed to get it to fire but it coughed and spluttered now won't fire at all? I reckon it's the coil pack or the DFI but I haven't checked the spark yet however I did notice the smell of fuel after trying to start it. Is it bad to wash the engine? Has anyone had this problem and how was it fixed. mmcleo11 06-04-2007, 12:17 AM Check that water has not gottne into the coil pack plug. If possible, get an air compressor and blow dry the entire engine. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
