Need help asap with alternator wiring!

Hey guys, new user here!

Have a quick question for the alternator

We are doing a swap to my car (well my friend is) and we are stuck at wiring the alternator. its a gsr going into an ek coupe SI 98. he is also using the stock wiring harness from the ek. problem is, the alternator cables from the ek has 3 wires, and the alternator from the gsr has 4.

how can this be rewire to make it work?

ive been searching like crazy all evening and cant find a thing!

Because we dont have it, its pretty much all wired up already, its firing up and everything, but the alternator is not.

then you need a wiring schimatic of the GSR wiring harness and you need to run a 4th wire to where ever it goes

I was actually thinking of gettig a wiring diagram for the gsr alternator but i can find any online. i also tried hondahookup who has lots of manuals but did not find what i needed. would you happen to know where i can find one?

www.helminc.com (http://www.helminc.com) make hondas factory service manuals. it will have eveything and more about your car (make sure you get the one for the car that the engine came out of and not your car)

Any other quicker solution, like an online diagram or something? this needs to be done tonight!

go to a shop and ask them to photocopy the diagram out of their book... if they're in a good mood they may not ask questions and just do it.

Isn't the extra wire the Crank Angle Sensor?

i believe thats a different plug.. a gsr wont start without it.. trust me i should know..

Is there anything only i can see for the wiring? by the time im done work, dont know if ill make it to the store!

If you cant find them online then i think your SOL... just wait till you can get the diagram
