I have had the car for about a year and a half & have started having electrical problems. About a month ago, I was driving to work when my car suddenly downshifted really hard & had no power...check engine light came on. I had Auto Zone check it & their code was for the Shift Solenoid B. Later that evening, when I drove it home, had no problems out of it...drove like a dream. Figured it was a fluke thing & ignored it. Since then, my right turn signal has started acting up. From time to time, when I use it, my cruise will stop working...the cruise light stays on, but the car stops cruising. Also, last week, had to have someone jump my car, took it to Auto Zone, husband tightened cables, car shifted real funny & would drop to 500 RPM's and die unless I had my foot on both brake & gas. After sitting for two days, it started up and had no issues UNTIL i turned the AC on. That's when it started dropping again to 500 RPM's and dying. Got up Sunday, started car, no problems EXCECPT check engine light came on & car felt like it didn't shift out of 2nd gear...I could go 60 but you could tell the car didn't like that. Again, had it tested, and the shift solenoid b code came up...now, today, light goes off. ???? Can't find a Chilton book, Haynes book has nothing on Transmissions...says take to get fixed. Can't find anything on Solenoids...?????
