I've recently been doing my best to upgrade my Monte's acceleration, HP.

The one thing I've focused on more than anything is getting it to have that aggressive old-school muscle car V8 growl, or something close.

So far I've;
Gotten an K&N Air Intake
Flowmaster Super 40 series
I removed the resonator

What else can I do? Where can I buy Headers or Cams for my car, or ones that will work?

Any help or advice will do, Thanks.

A great deal of power is in the heads ready to be made. Get a roller cam, roller rockers and port the heads. Make sure your valve seals are good( had to replace mine) and check you valve springs to make sure they r perfect. You can also change the push rods and lifters cause they all wear down. If u have the original valve seals and spring in a 96, I would change them both. Thats what I did to my 95 Lumina 3.1. I also removed the catylitic converter and installed a 3 chamber Flowmaster. People say it sounds like a race car.

I get people trying to race me driving Mustangs, Camaros, turbo'd imports and all kinds of cars just because of the way my Lumina looks and sounds. My car aint that damn fast but i usually race them anyway :grinyes: Now im gonna switch to a 3.8 and supercharger and we'll see who wants to race.....:flipa:
