'92 Silverado shifting issuepete44 05-24-2007, 02:39 PM Hello. have a new auto tranny installed a couple of months ago...It seemed fine until the other day...when tranny upshifts to 1st it seems to stay there longer than it should getting to 2nd gear...it is the 700R4 with overdrive..truck has 240,000 miles..could this be a solenoid/electrical issue (shifter)?.....thanks, Pete 2000CAYukon 05-24-2007, 04:41 PM 700R4 does not use solenoids to shift. The 1st thing you should do is readjust the TV cable. See http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Instructions/instructions/gm_tv_cable_adjust.htm //2000CAYukon pete44 05-25-2007, 08:28 AM Thanks for the info.....I forgot to mention that it seems to do this when truck has warmed up good......Pete 2000CAYukon 05-25-2007, 11:53 AM Thanks for the info.....I forgot to mention that it seems to do this when truck has warmed up good......Pete If it only happens when the tranny is hot, it could be a sticking TV valve. //2000CAYukon vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
