Basically you get the chance to vote for your favourite performance car in history, which they have included the F1, Veyron, Viper, Mini, F40, Enzo, 911 etc etc Get Voting here (http://fastcarcup.autocar.co.uk/) to get the F1 to be the Best Performance Car in History. I want to hear stories of blisters on your clicking fingers from Clicking on the F1 so many times :) EDIT - the weblink for the voting seems to be a bit dodgy, hopefully they'll sort it soon.......... EDIT 2 - seems to be all sorted now, F1 still in the lead but only by 216 points (by the thickness of its gold leaf.... come on everyone, get voting for the F1 !!) psych0hans 05-23-2007, 09:00 AM :D Mclaren F1 in lead, with F40 close behind... Thorst13 05-23-2007, 02:40 PM I've done my part in keeping the F1 legacy alive. countachal 05-23-2007, 02:48 PM I dont rate that pole, there is no Countach, i mean i know it wouldn't win but it should at least be there. It did stride across all of the 70s and most of the 80s as the ultimate dream car, so in my opinion it should be in the pole.I will now hide while you all rip me to shreds!!:grinno: PatrickT82 05-23-2007, 02:49 PM shut up Alan. The McLaren is the BEST car EVER, simple!!! :-) F1 monster 05-23-2007, 02:59 PM OK, did my bit. A lot of cool cars missing, though. hurstg01 05-23-2007, 03:17 PM there is no Countach I was wondering when you were going to comment on that :grinyes: carbuilder2002 05-23-2007, 03:25 PM Well out of 25 goes my two finalists kept comming up as F1 and E Type with the Aston GT a close 3rd. tk_f1627bhp 05-23-2007, 06:22 PM Come on McLaren!! I keep ending up with the F40, E-Type and Murcielago as second. I dont think that the murciealgo deserves to be up with the likes of the others, its just i have a soft spot for it as i was lucky enough to drive one for my 18th birthday! I take it that whichever car wins will get a large feature in the magazine? Hope so - should make an interesting read. pimp349 05-24-2007, 01:01 AM This should be easy......oh no, they have an E39 M5...sorry guys . :thinkerg:...I'll vote again! Edit: Damn it...chose the M5 again! :disappoin tk_f1627bhp 05-24-2007, 01:37 PM How can you even compare the two... :screwy: Besides it says best performance car, not best super taxi pimp349 05-24-2007, 04:43 PM How can you even compare the two... :screwy: Besides it says best performance car, not best super taxi Well, obviously, you dont know much about THAT M5 then...the fact that it was offered with a 6 speed manual only says a lot. But hey...to each his own... tk_f1627bhp 05-28-2007, 08:35 AM Each to his own hurstg01 05-28-2007, 09:03 AM Top 2 current standings - Mclaren F1 - 157514 points (!) Ferrari F40 - 138883 points :p :grinyes: BMW.WilliamsF1Team 05-28-2007, 02:17 PM F1 161,479 Points F40 141,949 Points :) psych0hans 06-15-2007, 04:42 PM http://fastcarcup.autocar.co.uk/Images/image9sm.jpg Bugatti Veyron 1364561 Points http://fastcarcup.autocar.co.uk/Images/image14sm.jpg Ferrari Enzo 1331655 Points http://fastcarcup.autocar.co.uk/Images/image26sm.jpg McLaren F1 1295943 Points http://fastcarcup.autocar.co.uk/Images/image21sm.jpg Lamborghini Murcielago 1275642 Points This isnt right... carbuilder2002 06-16-2007, 04:28 AM A lot of people just don't appreciate sublety. tk_f1627bhp 06-16-2007, 01:02 PM Get voting people! I think its a real shame - the veyron doesnt deserve to be there and neither do the enzo or murcielago. Its almost as if a vast ammount of small children have done the vote and just picked the ferraris and lambos because theyre the sterotypes and the veyron because it was on top gear. Its like choosing the killers over the stones in a greatest rock band vote... NewyorkKopter 06-26-2007, 12:16 PM wow what wtf is going on...how is it possible the Murcielago's even on the list. It should be the Diablo or the Countach. As for the Veyron being at the top...no comment. Thats completley ridiculous. The 3 greatest cars of all time on that list are, without a doubt the Miura, the F40, and the McLaren F1.(a.k.a. the beginning, the middle, the end) Get Its almost as if a vast ammount of small children have done the vote and just picked the ferraris and lambos because theyre the sterotypes and the veyron because it was on top gear. ^I agree vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
