i just put some custom gauges in my car and i didnt plug in my relay when i was supposed to and i unlpugged my cluster and switched out with another one and when i plugged my wires back up into the back of my cluster the wires started smoking. The funny thing ismy temp and fuel gauge work but my speedo is off by 30 mph and my rms are off by 750 and i tried using the other cluster i had and it acted the same way. Does anybody have any experience enough to trouble shoot whats goin on with my car and what i can do to fix it?

it sounds like you fried your ecu. the ecu reads the various sensors to give you fuel level tach and speed. the ecu translates it to voltage and sends it to the cluster. when you didnt unplug the relayyou left it powered and burnt the ecu
