Mazda Rx-7 Savannaiceracer1 05-21-2007, 02:34 PM This wil be my next project: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_001~4.jpg Very old Fujimi kit and like more of them this one is equiped with parts to fit a electro engine on it :S I hate that so most of the parts wil not be used :) http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_002~4.jpg As you can see I got 2 dashboards and 5 seats :P So there'll be just a few parts I'm gonna use of them :D This model can be build in 2 different versions. One with a normal window and one with a thrunk like a Toyota Mr2 etc. I like that last version :) The kit also contains 2 different spoilers. One big spoiler and one small spoiler. I'll use the big one :grinyes: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_003~4.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_004~3.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_005~3.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_006~2.jpg I also searched for some 'timeless'' wheels. I found these 2 sets: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_007~2.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_008~1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_009~1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_010~1.jpg I'm thinking about the 5 spoke wheels.... The rest of the model will be unchainged. I like the sportif looks of the car and I think it I don't have to customize it. Kris. rsxse240 05-21-2007, 06:15 PM if you want timeless, and plenty good looks, go with an open mesh, v, or Y design, you cannot go wrong. or a set of minilites, or r.s. watanabe. I like the tunnel back deck lid. evil_hanzel 05-21-2007, 08:36 PM i have the same kit, but the touge version and im working on it now. everything is the same except for additional decals and AMG wheels. use the five spokes. i have some watanbes in mine and the stance look great. will post my WIP soon. zak78 05-21-2007, 09:31 PM I agree, go with the 5-spokes for sure. djelton1992 05-23-2007, 09:57 AM good luck, but 1 guestion: Were all those parts on picture 2 in the box of picture 1?(Please anzver to PM) evil_hanzel 05-24-2007, 12:31 AM all those parts are included in that kit. over here those exact FC kits costs 3 USD each( yes its not a typo, its really is 3USD/3.00USD/three US dollars) iceracer1 05-27-2007, 04:12 PM New update :) First I bought a new camera yesterday.... so I have to learn how it works and that's why the pics are not all sharp :) Yesterday I also painted the body and clearcoated it. It was painted with Duplicolour and it looks like a Bourdeaux Red/Brown colour. First I painted it with red primer: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_005~1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_001~1.jpg I also painted the wheels in Motip Chrome: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_002~1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_003~1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_004~1.jpg I'll let this dry for a week before I polish the body. Kris. KevHw 05-27-2007, 04:40 PM Paint looks really heavy on that but nice colour. Lookin forward to more. Lownslow 05-27-2007, 06:50 PM i like that rear window conversion is it unique to that kit alone i want to try that with a supra iceracer1 07-07-2007, 02:00 PM Pff topic on page 6  Finally there is an update of this model :) I finished the whole body. I painted all the glasses and painted the windowtrims. Also painted the door/bumper strips and glued the windows to the body. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_001~3.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_002~3.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_003~3.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_004~3.jpg Again sorry for the blurry pics. Kris. cham2020 07-07-2007, 10:03 PM wow that's sweet mate emperorsupra 07-09-2007, 10:10 PM beautiful turn out but the color is so dull iceracer1 07-11-2007, 09:58 AM Today I completed the interior. I used black and orange for inside. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_2.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_3.jpg Only changed the seats for racing seats.
