Side Mirror Housing Replacement-94 JGC

On my '94 Jeep GC I was cleaning the mirror housings and when I flexed the plastic housing (as it's supposed to do in case it hits something), the bottom connector broke. Now it's still secured by the top connector (some kind of spring), but it's not nearly as strong since only one of the two connectors is holding on.

How can I reinforce the mirror or replace the broken connector? It still holds on OK (although really loose if I bump it), but I'd hate to have it break off and get damaged or lost.

If I purchase a replacement driver's side mirror, will it have the appropriate springs or connectors? That's the part that's broken; the remainder of the mirror is fine.

I would JY it, probably 40-50 bucks and a whole new assembly. Try http://www.car-part.com
