Automatic Tranny issuesShawn1976 05-18-2007, 09:04 PM I have a 1995 Dodge Avenger that I purchased back in 1994 that now has 130,000 miles on it. I started to notice that when put into drive it would hesitate to move for about 5 seconds even though I would have my foot depressing the acceleator. Shortly after, it will not move when shifted into drive but it will drive in reverse or if shifted into low. It sat for a week before I was going to do anything with it and now it won't move if put in any gear. It has fluid but it has been overdue for a flush. Is this a sign for a new Trans???? What could be the problem?????? Any suggestions would be appreciated. silvercoupe97 05-21-2007, 12:31 AM When was the last time your tranny fluid was changed? What type of fluid was put in or where did you have it changed? Just food for thought, MOPAR ATF+3 is about the only tranny fluid that you can put into the A604. Sure you can put the generic brands in or even the name brands in, but MOPAR ATF+3 is the only fluid that won't give you slipping issues until the end of the fluid's life. danny87 07-11-2007, 12:04 AM I have a 1995 Dodge Avenger that I purchased back in 1994 that now has 130,000 miles on it.
