I know the Si has gotten stellar reviews. Car of the year last year I think(might have been the year before.) Not sure about the Nissan. Id love to get an Si.

My Bud has a 04 sentra. Its the Model under the SER.... and its boring as all hell. Cheap interior, no guts or glory. Decent turn radius, but alot of roll. But hey, it gets like 30 mpg, if thats your thing.

Everything I have read on the SI is good, most of what I read on the new sentra is not that good. I have a new EX and I am very pleased with it, I am sure the SI would be even better.

well you cant really compare a Civic Si sedan to a Nissan Sentra. A Civic EX and a Nissan Sentra would be a more fair comparison. The Si is about $5k more than the Sentra and has like a 50hp advantage with comparable gas mileage.

but one of the new sentra is suppose to have 200 hp

i almost forgot about the SE-R. yea the new SE-R VSpec is supposed to put out 200hp. in that case the Si and SE-R are about evenly matched. 6 Speed tranny, roughly 30mpg, sedan practicality with performance. I guess it's just a matter of preference. DO you want a high revving engine? Or a torquey one? Personally Id take the Nissan.
