No Electricalradrobbie 05-08-2007, 01:39 PM I parked my 93 3.2l 4X4 rodeo on Sunday afternoon at 2:00. After shutting down the inside fan continued to blow after turning the key off. At 4:30 I went to start it and had no electrical at all. No starter, no accesory, no dome light. I tested the battery, it was good. I cleaned the terminals (they weren't dirty anyway), and and the cable/terminal connection. Still nothing. Where do I go from here? wing_i 05-08-2007, 01:44 PM Looks like a shortcut. Maybe if you try with a different battery. Ramblin Fever 05-08-2007, 03:23 PM Are you referring to the radiator fan, or the little one in front of the condensor? The condensor fan continues to run on mine after shut off as well, if the weather's really hot, it's done it for years. Have you checked the volt output on your alternator? radrobbie 05-09-2007, 10:11 AM The fan inside is the one that kept blowing, not the radiator or condensor fan. Also the car wouldn't take a boost either. radrobbie 05-09-2007, 12:55 PM further research showed the 60a main fuse blown. I replaced it and it blew immediately. Andie_J 05-09-2007, 02:48 PM :) Sounds like you have a major short. The way ive seen it done is remove all the fuses and replace the 60amp main. Then add the fuses back till it burns out. At least then you will know in what circuit you have to look for the short. Andie:) P.S. I once saw some guys just jump a fuse with a piece of wire and stand around looking for the smoke or fire. Dont try to find it that way!!!!! radrobbie 05-14-2007, 09:47 AM Thanks Andie; I used the removing all fuses technique (not the search for fire), and finally figured out it was the alternator.. problem solved. surferfletch 05-14-2007, 09:27 PM Thanks for posting the solution! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
