I just bought a 02 Civic EX and I am trying to put in my speakers and amp. I am having a VERY hard time trying to remove the stock cd player--any suggestions of how to remove it without breaking anything?

carefully pop out the power socket/pocket from just above the cup holder, inside that opening there are 2 8 mm bolts that screw up into the radio, remove them. Then carefully pull the trim piece out that is around the radio, from there its all pretty easy...hope this helps...
