I want to restore a 1970's Chevelle or El Camino. This would be my first time trying to restore a car. Just looking for tips so I don't get in over my headed. Please help. Thanks.

Avoid a car with rusted floors or frame, careful of bondo covering lower body panel repairs, pick a car that has appeal and value when done, the resto costs the same for a plain Maibu vs an SS. Get professional help picking a car and checking it out.

Should look for a good 78-81 malibu, nice light solid full frame car, i know mines sure alot of fun. gettn hard to find anymore as they were all chopped up for hobby stock dirt cars hahaha. check www.racingjunk.com (http://www.racingjunk.com) usually have some nice equipment on there.

Lemme know what ya decide.
