So I got a muffler for free and had new pipe (2 1/4) ran from the cat-back, with no resonator. Its sounds sweet, nice and deep, but cruising the interstate, its very loud inside and gives me a headache. Any suggestions? Should I dynomat under the rear seat? There is some sound dampening in the trunk already, should I put dynomat in there also?

You could dynamat the whole floor in the car even the trunk some more, but since the lower frequencies travel farther you still would have the sound in the car, but not as loud now. My exhaust has a resonator and I can still about hear it over the radio and my radio is fairly loud. But on highway it's almost unbearable, I have just learned to tolerate it. Too bad my wife can't do the same. :D

Thats what I figured, I don't mind the noise, I like it...just a little lower in volume is all I want. I find it helps with the sunroof cracked, but its getting cold in TN...:D

it does tend to rattle the brain when the cab is closed. but its gettin cold here in NC but i enjoy the sound of the exhaust.......but my wife thinks im cracked.

My racing medallion is really loud. Very deep and I don't have a cat.

But It comes with a silencer that I can use for the freeway trips.

But I still never use it. I like the sound but it's so deep some times it effects my music. It's the same tone as the bass.

man those got to be some loud ass mufflers. when the windows are up my muffler just has low growl down the interstate however i would love it to be that loud to where its unbearable. haha you guys shit is damn loud

Yeah, it sounds good around town, just I have to drive 40 miles each way (interstate) to work and it gives you a headache after awhile. I got some sound dampening spray I'm going to do the trunk tomorrow and see how that works...

if you guys don't like it loud then why get such a badass exaust set-up?
if you wanted a big tip just grab a big can of soup cut the top off and weld it on!! just tell'em it's apexi or something:)

if you think it's cold in tn or nc try living in maine or somewhere north!

Don't get me wrong I love my exhaust.....:)

I wanted the loudest and the deepest.......Not those stupid ass weed wackers everyone else has......Sound like there racing their lawnmowers around...:D

The Tanabe Racing Medallion with DC sports headers and a straight pipe.....You can't get much deeper or louder.....

And knownly putting this on you have expect some serious sound.....
