Hey--does anyone know how to check the fluid in a 98 Isuzu trooper automatic transmission? I can't find a dipstick and it is shifting really rough from 2nd to 3rd...also the check engine light is constantly blinking...does this happen in a transmission problem? Help...it is the only car I have to get to work.

Check the faq's for how to check the tranny fluid level. These trannies do not like low fluid.

A flashing CEL means you have a miss-fire. Could be due to old plugs or a faulty intake manifold gasket or about 12 other things....
