First off I would like to say this is a great site. Now I have a 95 240 sx. When you have the thermostat in the car wil overheat. but when take the thermostat out the car does not overheat. Could the water pump be pushing water in the wrong direction.

Nevermind there was a airbubble trapped behind the thermostat. It now runs fine.

thats what i figured...seems like the usual colprit.

btw...easiest way to bleed a system, jack up the front end (about a foot off the ground) start the car, and open up the bleeder, and the radiator cap, add coolant/water mix as it burps air....

Our bleeder screw broke off so we borrowed a bleeder funnel jack the car atleast a foot and a half and held it steady at oh 2500 rpms till the bubble went away.
