Hey I have a B16 turbo and was wondering which cam will I get to get the most bang for my buck. I heard gsr cams work well. Also I was wondering if I use a LS tranny will it hurt the performance of the car. I have traction issues in first and second, a little at top of third.

You'd probably be better off getting Crower turbo cams, since they are specifically made for forced induction applications. But the GS-R cam should help over the B16A cams. The LS transmission will definently hurt acceleration. If you're looking for something that's geared a little longer, you might want to check into a GS-R transmission; it'd be kind of a happy medium between the LS and B16A.

An LS tranny on a torqueless B16 is going to suck...the longest tranny you should use is the GSR.

Cams: The GSR cam is a step up from the B16, the ITR/CTRs are a step up from that....I wouldn't recommend the Crower cams for a VTEC engine...only the non-VTECs (Crower 404). If you want a cheap upgrade, look for ITR/CTR cams, GSR or anything with similar specs like the Blox Type A.

Another thing to remember with the cams is that you gain a little from just putting them in, but gain more once they're dialed in so remember to get a set of cam gears as well....

cam gears would be the priority, but, why not put some money into some cheap gsr cam gears while your at it.
