I just bot a 1986 Fiero last sunday, nice car. One of the transmission cooling lines broke under the door about 6 inches to the front of the jack point. Lines from the fiero store cost over $100. Has anyone found a cheaper fix? Rubber Line, Braided Line, etc.

How much line is left and is it bent up?
You can patch it if need be. Use a compression fitting to attach the pieces back together, or replace the bad section of line with however much line you need, and attach the three pieces together with a couple of compression fittings.
Good luck.

Thanks for answering. But I just finished repairing the lines yesterday. The brake was worse than it looked so I replaced both lines with brake line and a little creativity.
I'm making a web site on these repairs and others. Hope to have it up latter this week.
