i have a 96 mirage wont start,replaced fuel pump,ecm,fuel filter,check the converter to see if it was stopped up,checked the fuses,plugs are firing has fuel pressure,was told maybe crank position sensor but if that was it would it not be getting spark,which it is..?not sure bout the cam sensor would that keep it from starting or just make it run bad..? it stalled a few times driving it but started back up untill this last time..any information would be helpful..thx:) if any tech`s wanna email an answer..vetter852002@yahoo.com

Can you borrow a code reader and see what is stored? If either sensor failed you should have a code stored.

i had the mirage towed to an advance auto parts an they couldnt find any bad codes..so im still stumped..if an body has had this problem an got it fixed..i'd love to know the cause

Have you tried spraying starting fluid into the intake? I'm wondering if the fuse for the injectors has failed, since you are getting a good spark.

tried starting fluid didnt even phase it..or attempt to start:banghead: and checked all the fuses before i tried anything else

ok i found the problem..it was firing but the coil wasnt putting out enough juice..installed a new distributor (has the coil inside it) started right up but thx for the input ..posted this incase somebody else was having the same problems..laters :)
