anyone know when your clutch needs to be changed out?

when it grabs at the very last moment even though the fluid is full and everything is in good working order. if its really bad, the clutch will slip, meaning the revs will rise without the car going any faster. its all just experience on how you know your clutch is supposed to feel, then comparing that to how it actually feels.

the signs of a bad clutch are as follows. first u may notice that it may take a little longer to engage when starting off. then you may notice that the rpms will stay a little higher than normal then it will engage. and you may start to smell something that smells like brakes but not really. then at higer speeds when you gun it it will slip. and then finaly nothin. your car wont move at all.
but if u cant get your car in gear like customwhips said, you have more probs. than a clutch
