01 Silverado door speaker size?Caballero 04-26-2007, 12:41 AM I have a 01 Silverado 1500 extended cab and these stock speakers just aren't cutting it anymore. I'd like to just get some that pretty much bolts in....no hacking or anything. I probably will do the rear speakers too while I'm at it and just use the stock deck for now. Just a simple upgrade. I was wondering what the size of the stock speakers are in the front and rear doors are. It looks like the front has 2 speakers in the doors? Any help would be appreciated. thanks. Your front speakers are 6 3/4 and the rear speakers are 4x6... check out http://www.crutchfield.com , whatever they sell, they give you adapters so you dont have to cut wires or metal to get the speakers to fit... I got a new deck and speakers from them a couple years ago, didnt have to cut anything, they even included a wire harness and a face adapter so the deck would fit and look clean...:smokin: Caballero 04-26-2007, 02:53 AM Thanks. Yeah, I bought some speakers from cruthfield a while back and that's where I think I'll get my new ones at. Great customer service and good prices. Now the fun part in figuring out which ones to buy. silverado122775 04-27-2007, 08:31 AM The fronts are Component Speakers. I bought some Polk Audio Componants from Circuit City They sound very nice. I just need to replace the rears and the deck now. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Polk-6-5-2-Way-Component-System-with-External-Crossover-db6501/sem/rpsm/oid/172446/catOid/-13641/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do sportin83 04-29-2007, 02:39 PM The fronts are Component Speakers.
