I am wondering what are the best headers to get for a svt contour, and is it possible to install them without taking out the motor. It seems like there is no room to do any work on the header without removal of the engine.

MSDS makes the only headers for the tour. You don't have to pull the motor, but it is a bitch. Header swaps have been discussed to death at contour.org.
