96 escort - metric or american brake lines?

The brake lines on my daughter's escort are rotten to the core. Rust from front to rear, with only 60K miles on it! Are these metric lines or regular? There are about 50 bends in them and the garages want a ton. I found someone to do them but I need to bring the lines. Any help?

I think they are metric. But I would buy a short piece that "looks right" and loosen some fitting and see if the trial piece will hook-up. Don't overtighten as this is just an experiment. Be sure to use flare-nut wrenches ... or you will have a mess on your hands.
