hi, i have this freind that i helped hooked up his system and it was working fine but then a week ago it started to drain his battery with his car off, he says he has to disconnect the amp to the battery to make sure that the battery can start the car. do you guys have any idea?

make sure that the amp chassis is NOT bolted directly the cars chassis.

i had this problem with my 1st car, 89 Ford Probe. I never found out why, despite the fact the car already had problems (it was an experiment car for a college student) but i ended up installing an inline kill switch in the remote wire (i think).

i didn't even think of it being the remote turn on wire.

I think i had my remote wire wired to an "always on" power wire, the wiring setup wasn't exactly clean though and it was my first time with car electronics.
