I have a 2001 3.2 ES with 106k mi on it. I purchased it with 85k mi from my boss who insists it was perfectly maintained. I looks perfect and (did) drive perfect.

My problem is that recently after a Jiffy Lube Transmmission flush I have been having studdering problems going from 1st to 2nd and God forbid I have to accellerate in a hurry. If I press the accelerator too hard I get almost complete loss of power the BOOM it engages so I have to let up and feather. Its breif but serious enough that it worries me when merging on the highway. Someone I know said it sounds like the torque converter, could it be?

I know after reading today that Jiffy Lube probably did NOT use the Manufacturers recommended Lube like they said and that I need to switch to Synth oil. I will be using the dealership from now on.

Will flushing and filling with the proper lube help with this or am I goign to need to save some money up?

It is not the torque converter and you made a huge mistake by getting the transmission flushed with the machine. The problem with the machine that it uses more fluid and back flushes the dirt and crud into the valve body.It sounds like it needs a valve body cleaning or a rebuild.I know one transmission shop that loves making money off of valve body cleanings because someone had their transmission flushed.I am not giving out the place or their phone number. You should of had the transmission fluid and filter changed instead and that is the best thing to do to an automatic transmission.Go to transmission shop to find out why.Is the check engine light on?
