Thats all the horsepower it makes lol,I knew it didnt make much but that doesnt seem like its even worth the trouble to do.Well thanks for the info.

I did both on my old 99 and noticed not one bit of difference at all. Not worth the time IMO.

+1 to that. I would do the EGR delete to keep it from pumping crap back into your engine.

Fortunately, the 02 didn't have an EGR to start with

if anyone here deleted EGR and they have a 5.7 vortec....did you leave the egr valve installed on the intake? Does anyone make a blockoff plate? What did you use to block the EGR hose ? And Finally any web sites about this and I assume you had turned off via the PCM reprogramming?
