quickest and cheapest way to make HP in a 35071nova_lover 04-20-2007, 02:15 AM what is the quickest and cheapest way to make HP in a 350 i have double hump heads, pullies, an good alum intake, double pumper holly, headers, what else could i do to make it faster kind of cheep SMOKSHO 04-20-2007, 11:45 AM I sounds like you have a good start with the normal bolt ons. IMO I would step up your cam. Deciding on which cam depends on your transmission, the type of manifold and how good the exhaust system is. Many times people still end up with to big of a cam or to much cam for the motor set up. Anyway if your talking cheep call summit racing they have SBC cam kits around $65 cam and lifters and a gasket install kit for $16 also the tech line can help with size of cam once they have engine info. RHamm1320 04-22-2007, 02:59 PM It really depends how far you want to go into it. Of course, nitrous is the cheapest way as long as you do not over do it and your engine is healthy enough to handle the extra load. Changing a camshaft can be done in a day, but its not easy. You want to move clean air in and exhaust out as easily as possible. Here is a typical 350 build up in a computer dyno simulation: http://www.virtualengine2000.com http://www.caliwampus.com/Dyno/dyno1.10.jpg http://www.caliwampus.com/Dyno/dyno1.11.jpg vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
