LTZ Interior Light ProblemsCorndog Man 04-19-2007, 08:47 PM I am blowing the dome light fuse on my 1999 LTZ. It just started. Something is shorted somewhere as it pops a fuse immediately. I know the dome light, maplights and lighted mirror are on this curcuit. I also wonder if the light switch could be a culprit. Any ideas where to look first if you have experienced this? Thanks! Corndog Bought a KD short detector. The problem was in the lighted makeup mirror. A screw had shorted the wire. Corndog Man gw84 04-25-2007, 11:48 AM funny you say that Corndog, I testdrove a '98 LTZ and noticed the lights on the "makeup mirror" were flickering a lot. Perhaps there was an underlying electrical problem. The car had 71K on it and they only wanted $3800. I may have dodged a bullet:) though it sounds like it would be an easy fix. That was all there was. I removed the makeup mirror and insulated the wiring. No more problems. I have a few little issues with this car I need to correct. I am the original owner and the daughter is driving it now. She takes care of it but it needs a little TLC on a couple of areas she and the wife messed up. That was one of them. Sunroof, console pad and ashtray door are the things bugging me. I did get a Homelink which I have yet to install. I will do that when I drop the headliner and fix the sunroof. It's a great car and the problems we have seen were pretty much caused by us. Corndog... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
