My Hayden thermal clutch came with 4 washers to go under the mounting nuts to the engine side. My mounting nuts already are locking nuts. Do I still need to put the ones in the box under my locknuts? Are thy just to take stress off the clutch flange when I torque them on to the engine? Stuck under the hood till I know! Thanks all! It's one thing after another with a new rig:smooch:

If they will fit, I would use them.

Is the Hayden slotted so the hole is not round?

Yeah it's slotted. Thinkin' I'm gonna put the washers on and just make sure the split is on the clutch flange b4 I tighten the nuts down . Sound right?
