looking for pics of silverados w/ aftermarket wheelsBOTTLEDZ28 04-16-2007, 09:17 PM Im looking to change out the stock wheels on my 2500HD for something else and I need some ideas from you guys out there on which wheels look good. If you have pics please either post them here or email them to me. I have a 2002 blue ext cab and the stock 16" wheels need to go. They are not those nice polished ones either. Im not looking to add a lift right now but just want a nicer wheel and possibly a wider tire on the truck. sportin83 04-16-2007, 10:23 PM i have 22's with 305-40-22 tires 99SilveradoRob 04-16-2007, 10:48 PM 305's?.. Or maybe thats cause of the 305/40 because I have 285/70. I never really could understand the whole tire size thing and how it changes around based on what the numbers are. Oh well rjeffery 04-18-2007, 09:58 AM 265/75/16. 265 is the width of the tire in millimeters. 75 is the height of the sidewall. It is a percentage of the width. So the height on this tire would be 265mm * 75% = 198.75mm. And 16 is the diameter of the rim. Most oversize tires are measured in inches (35/12.5/16) where the diameter of the tire is 35in, the width is 12.5in, and the diameter of the rim is 16in. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireDimensions.dos Bob B 04-18-2007, 10:23 AM Im looking to change out the stock wheels on my 2500HD for something else and I need some ideas from you guys out there on which wheels look good. If you are anywhere near a Les Schwab tire store you can go in and play with a computer that shows a truck you select with wheels you select. Possibly other shops do this now also.
