Can I unplug TCC?Love Cars 04-14-2007, 07:12 PM I was told I can unplug the torque conv. switch on my Grand Am if it is not working properly. If it has a round plug that is. Is that true? And is it on the top left side of the trans.? xeroinfinity 04-14-2007, 07:25 PM Yes but fuel economey might suffer. Check out this link here, if you havent seen it already. http://autorepair.about.com/cs/doityourself/l/aa011703b.htm (http://autorepair.about.com/cs/doityourself/l/aa011703b.htm) Love Cars 04-15-2007, 11:21 PM Thanks for the web site! I had not seen it yet. I did try unplugging the TCC today and it seems to stay in high gear all the time. Lots of slipping! I could shift manually but still not right. Made it easier to stop though! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
