4x4 Vacuum Hose. Where does it go? 1999

I have a 99 Blazer. I have read the threads on 4x4 vacuum and I went to follow my hoses to see if any were damaged or loose. I found the loose one, but I do not know where it is supposed to go. It is coming on this tee you can see in the picture. It comes from the splitter device right in the middle on top.

See these photos.

Thanks.

There is something mounted inside the fender directly below where you have the hose laying. I have no idea what it is and I can't see it but if you get a mirror and look about 1" below the bracket that is holding the Hayes ABS box, you should be able to see the nipple that the hose connects to. I pulled mine loose and stuck it back on by feel. The nipple is hard mounted and doesn't move.

If you cant find it, I can try and take a picture of mine to help you out. If you figure out what it is, let me know.

It is about 5 1/2" below the top of the fender and about 2" in front of the cruise control box. Pretty much directly below where the hose is laying on the fender in the picture.

The vac reservior is a plastic ball mounted in the drivers side fender and with a few minutes you can squeeze your fingers down there and push it on - takes a few trys.

Thats good to know. I remember the ball on my 91 s10 I sold several years ago. I thought they must have done away with it on the newer models. I guess the just hid it. At least it is out of the way.

Thanks muddog,
James
